I love cream of Barley. I remember my mom used to make it at least once a week for breakfast... Yesterday I tried making it with some bananas and natural maple syrup. It was delicious! You should try it.

I recently wrote an article about Kamut, entitled: "Kamut: Ancient Grain in Modern Times" discussing healthful Kamut.

I love the fact that Kamut has not been modified. In modern times, trying to find whole, nutritious foods can be a challenge.

This morning, I whisked some Kamut flour into lightly boiling water for creamed Kamut. It turned out remarkably well, considering that I don't, at present, have a grinder to crack or grind my kernals.

I'm going to include a link to this blog at my alternative health blog. You are providing and outstanding resource.

Yes. Do you mean kamut flakes as in boxed cereal or raw kamut flakes from the bulk section? If from the bulk section, then get yourself a couple of pounds and cook them into hot breakfast cereal. Good and good for you!

Leslie

PS If you need soaking and cooking directions for your kamut hot cereal, just give a holler.

I have seen the kamut berries at the local natural grocers...but I don't have a grinder yet. They also had some kamut flakes for cereal...have you heard of this?

Sure! Let me know what you think. You should be able to find some at a health food store. Otherwise you could always find some online.

I am cooking up the Kamut,Lentil and Chickpea soup right now. I will let you know how it is. It is really cold and windy here today - and snowing on and off. Some nourishing hot soup will be just the thing.
